Rembrandt Bugatti, 'Léopard marchant' (1911) sold for $379,800 (EUR352,800), more than one and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in Paris on March 27.
The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $307,200, equivalent to an annualized return of 6%. It last sold at auction in 1998 for $72,600 at Millon & Associes.
