Raven Row Announces 'Nomenclature for the Time Being' Exhibition

Raven Row has announced 'Nomenclature for the Time Being,' an upcoming exhibition curated by Imani Mason Jordan. The presentation will run from May 21 to September 6, 2026, at the gallery's London location.

The exhibition features a roster of thirteen artists, including Rebecca Bellantoni, Hannah Black, Maren Hassinger, Deborah-Joyce Holman, Marla-Sunshine Kellard-Jones, Atiéna R. Kilfa, Christine Kirubi, Kumbirai Makumbe, Zanele Muholi, Sandra Mujinga, Shenece Oretha, Ingrid Pollard, and Ebun Sodipo. Their contributions span a variety of mediums, such as sculpture, performance, writing, photography, and video.

Through these diverse practices, 'Nomenclature for the Time Being' will engage with concepts surrounding Black feminist materiality and broader sociopolitical art frameworks. The selected works incorporate materials ranging from rope, iron wire, and leather to plastic, velvet, wood, concrete, petroleum, wax, glass, and thread.
