Raoul Dufy, Set design project for The Fiancés of Le Havre (1944), sold for $40,700 (GBP30,500), more than the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 6.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $96,800, realizing a 70% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2015 for $137,500 at Sotheby's.

Gouache, watercolor, and pencil on paper, 50.1 x 66.0cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
