Qi Baishi, Chrysanthemum (1928) sold for $33,000 (HKD256,000), more than the low estimate at Bonhams in Hong Kong on April 29.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $28,300, realizing a 46% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2012 for $61,300 at Sotheby's.

Ink and colour on paper, 18.5 x 51.5cm. The work has not been traded before.
