Pieter de Hooch Work Sells for Nearly $2m But Delivers a 2% Negative Return

Pieter de Hooch, Card players at a table sold for $1.99m, less than the low estimate at Christie's in New York on February 5.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $56,900, realizing a 2% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2004 for $2.04m at Sotheby's.
