Pierre-Auguste Renoir Work Sells for $76,900 to Deliver a 1% Annualized Return

Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Femme en robe rouge lisant (1900), sold for $76,900 (GBP57,500), more than the low estimate at Bonhams in London on March 6.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $34,900, equivalent to an annualized return of 1%. It last sold at auction in 1994 for $42,000 at Christie's.
