Phillips has announced an upcoming auction, 'DUCHAMP & COMPANY', curated by scholar Francis M. Naumann. The sale is designed to illuminate the extensive influence and legacy of Marcel Duchamp, a pivotal figure in avant-garde, Dada, and Surrealist movements.
Comprising over 100 lots, the auction will feature works by Duchamp himself, including prints, multiples, designs, etchings, pochoir-colored reproductions, sculpture, and readymades. Additionally, the sale will include pieces by artists who engaged with and were impacted by Duchamp's practice, such as Man Ray, Robert Rauschenberg, Richard Pettibone, Mike Bidlo, Sherrie Levine, John Baldessari, and Joseph Kosuth.
The exhibition viewing for 'DUCHAMP & COMPANY' is scheduled to run from April 16–22, 2026, at Phillips' 432 Park Avenue location in New York. The auction is set to take place on April 23, 2026.
