Phillips Announces New York Modern & Contemporary Art Evening Sale for May 2026

Phillips will host its Evening Sale of Modern & Contemporary Art on May 19, 2026, at its 432 Park Avenue saleroom in New York. The auction, commencing at 5pm ET, is projected to achieve a total significantly exceeding last year's May results.

The sale will present a curated selection of works from across key movements, including pieces by Andy Warhol, Claude Monet, and Gerhard Richter. Other featured artists include Joan Mitchell, Vilhelm Hammershøi, and Lee Bontecou, representing Impressionist, Post-War, and contemporary abstraction.

A public viewing for the sale will be open from May 9 to May 19, 2026, at the New York location, offering collectors and professionals the opportunity to view the works prior to the auction.
