Peter Phillips, Motorpsycho/Ace (1962) sold for $339,200 (GBP254,000), more than two and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 18. The oil and collage on canvas and lacquered wood work has been traded twice in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $138,600, a 69% rise.
