Paul Signac Work Sells for $3.48m to Deliver a 6% Annualized Return

Paul Signac, Marseille. Le vieux port (1906) sold for $3.48m (GBP2.61m), more than the low estimate at Christie's in London on October 15.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $3.27m, equivalent to an annualized return of 6%. It last sold at auction in 1981 for $215,600 at Sotheby's.

Oil on canvas, 73.3 x 91.8cm. The work has been traded 15 times in the past.
