Paul Signac, La Seine à Asnières (1900), sold for $44,100 (GBP33,000), more than four times the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 6.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $26,500, equivalent to an annualized return of 3%. It last sold at auction in 2002 for $17,600 at Christie's.

Watercolour and pencil on paper, 17.5 x 24.9cm. The work has been traded once in the past.
