Paul Signac Work Sells for $118,800 to Deliver a 8% Annualized Return

Paul Signac, La Baie (Saint-Tropez) (1907), sold for $118,800 (GBP88,900), more than six times the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 6.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $78,300, equivalent to an annualized return of 8%. It last sold at auction in 2012 for $40,500 at Christie's.

Watercolour, brush and ink and pencil on paper, 20.8 x 25.8cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
