Pablo Picasso, Modèle dans l'atelier (1965) sold for $901,300 (GBP660,400), more than one and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on July 3.
The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $212,100, equivalent to an annualized return of 1%. It last sold at auction in 2007 for $689,300 at Christie's.
