Pablo Picasso Work Sells for $135,800 to Deliver a 2% Annualized Return

Pablo Picasso, La Tauromaquia (1957), sold for $135,800 (GBP101,600), more than three times the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 7.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $55,800, equivalent to an annualized return of 2%. It last sold at auction in 2004 for $80,000 at Galerie Kornfeld.

Sugar-lift aquatints on japon ancien paper the full sheets, 43.5 x 52.5 x 9.0cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
