Pablo Picasso, Baigneuse au pouf rouge (1930), sold for $2.64m, more than twice the low estimate at Christie's in New York on May 18.
The sale was below the previous auction result by $133,500, realizing a 4% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2012 for $2.77m at Sotheby's.
