Nilbar Gures Will Represent Turkey at the Venice Biennale

The Türkiye Pavilion will present Nilbar Güreş and her exhibition 'A Kiss on the Eyes', which is curated by Başak Doğa Temür.

Güreş’s exhibition will feature both new and existing works, encompassing a diverse range of media. The presentation includes sculpture, installation, painting, mixed-media, photography, video, collage, textiles, film, and performance.

The artist’s practice frequently engages with themes such as cultural symbols, social inequalities, identity, gender, migration, belonging, and displacement.

The exhibition is organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), supported by various funders, including Trendyol Art and the Vehbi Koç Foundation.
