Nicolaes Cornelisz Moeyaert, Joshua carrying the Ark of the Covenant around Jericho; and The Sacrifice of Elijah and the priests of Baal (1648) sold for $26,400 (GBP19,200), less than the low estimate at Bonhams in London on July 2.
The sale was below the previous auction result by $23,600, realizing a 47% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2019 for $50,000 at Sotheby's.
