Nick Cave, Soundsuit (2008) sold for $228,600, more than two and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in New York on February 26. The found woven bags, vintage hot pads, vintage knit material, mannequin and metal base work had been traded once in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $38,100, a 19% rise.
