Nick Cave, Soundsuit (2010) sold for $190,500, more than one and a half times the low estimate at Phillips in New York on May 14. The mixed media and mannequin work has been traded once in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $1,500, a 0.8% rise.

The previous record was set by Soundsuit (2009), which sold for $189,000 at Sotheby's on May 13, 2021. The work had been traded once in the past.
