National Pavilion of Qatar Presents 'untitled 2026' at 61st Venice Biennale

The National Pavilion of Qatar has unveiled its exhibition for the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, titled "untitled 2026 (a gathering of remarkable people)". Situated in the Giardini della Biennale, the presentation features a diverse roster of contributors including Rirkrit Tiravanija, Sophia Al-Maria, Tarek Atoui, and Alia Farid, among others. The exhibition integrates contemporary art with culinary practices and sonic explorations.

The program encompasses experimental film, large-scale sculpture, live performance, sound art, and culinary art. Additional featured artists and collaborators include Fadi Kattan, Yumna Marwan, Fatima Al Qadiri, Dali de Saint Paul, Sarah Ourahmane, Sulafa Elyas, Vivian Wang, Aya Metwaly, Gobi Drab, Thomas Gouband, Mazen Kerbaj, Naghib Shanbehzadeh, Sara Ourahmane, Noof Al Marri, Noor Murad, Majed Ali Almatrooshi, Paul Matar, and Lina Ghotmeh.

The exhibition schedule within the Giardini includes specific dates on May 9, June 13 and 14, July 11 and 12, September 18 and 19, October 10 and 11, October 31 and November 1, and unspecified dates in November. The initiative highlights a collaborative effort involving various entities such as Qatar Museums, Rubaiya Qatar, the Center for Curatorial Studies and the Hessel Museum of Art at Bard College, MoMA PS1, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, ALRIWAQ Art + Architecture, Fire Station, Tasweer Qatar Photo Festival, M7, Liwan Design Studios and Labs, Design Doha, and Akub London.
