Nabil Anani, Mother “Tell me about Palestine” (1975) sold for $54,700 (GBP40,600), more than two and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in London on June 16. The oil and metallic paint on canvas work has been traded once in the past.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $10,600, a 23% rise.
