Kunstinstituut Melly in Rotterdam is set to open You will find us in the best places, a survey exhibition dedicated to the South African artist Moshekwa Langa. This presentation marks the largest overview of Langa's work to be shown in the Netherlands, a country where the artist has resided for over 25 years.

The exhibition is scheduled to open to the public on October 24, with a press preview slated for October 23. The presentation highlights Langa's connection to the Dutch art scene, where he has been based for over two decades.

Gabi Ngcobo, Director of Kunstinstituut Melly, commented on the exhibition. "It is an honour to be able to present the work of Moshekwa Langa at Kunstinstituut Melly... one of South Africa’s most important artists of my generation has lived here... Moshekwa’s practice speaks closely to our interest in complex narratives and in challenging conventional perspectives. It also enters into conversation with improvisation, which is central to our four-year institutional framework."

Langa's multimedia practice explores themes of identity, displacement, and memory. This aligns with Kunstinstituut Melly's focus on complex narratives and challenging conventional perspectives, as well as its institutional framework centered on improvisation.
