The Museum of Old and New Art (Mona) is scheduled to open The Phrontisterion, its new wing, this June. This addition will house David Walsh's personal library, conceived as a "dream library" containing rare books and maps, and will expand Mona's exhibition capabilities.

The Phrontisterion will feature several new commissions and permanent installations. Highlights include an architectural installation by Yhonnie Scarce, utilizing hand-blown glass, as well as works by artists such as Anselm Kiefer and Julian Charrière.

In conjunction with the new wing's opening, Mona will host the exhibition "Hard Core." This exhibition is slated to run from 6 June 2026, through to 5 April 2027, and will include contributions from artist Ryoji Ikeda.
