Mona Saudi's Auction Record Increases by 8%

Mona Saudi, Dawn (1969) sold for $93,700 (GBP72,000), more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on October 22. The carved yellow stone work has been traded twice in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $7,464, a 8% rise.

The previous record was set by lovers (1963), which sold for $86,200 at Sotheby's on April 20, 2016. The work had not been traded before.
