MK Gallery has announced 'Jacques Henri Lartigue: Life in Colour,' a comprehensive exhibition dedicated to the pioneering French artist. The presentation, featuring Jacques Henri Lartigue's photographic and painting oeuvre, will be on view from June 20 to October 4, 2026.
The exhibition will explore Lartigue's extensive output, which includes his early photographic experiments, notably stereoscopic images and a significant engagement with colour photography. Beyond his renowned photography, the show will also incorporate his work in painting and drawing, reflecting his dual artistic practice. Topics covered range from street photography and fashion photography to abstract floral studies.
Lartigue, whose work gained broader international recognition later in his career, was supported by figures such as John Szarkowski at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. His circle included contemporaries like Jean Cocteau and Pablo Picasso. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Ministère de la Culture France and the Association des Amis de Jacques Henri Lartigue, with diChroma Photography providing additional support.
