Michelangelo Pistoletto, Lei e Lui - Maria e Michelangelo (Her and Him - Maria and Michelangelo) (1968), sold for $1.69m (GBP1.27m), more than the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 5.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $1.56m, realizing a 48% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2014 for $3.26m at Christie's.

Painted tissue paper on polished stainless steel, 230.2 x 120.0cm. The work has been traded 5 times in the past.
