Maurice Utrillo, Paysage en Corse (1940) sold for $34,600 (GBP25,400), more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on June 25.
The sale was below the previous auction result by $22,300, realizing a 39% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2009 for $56,900 at Sotheby's.
Oil on canvas, 55.2 x 46.0cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
