Mattia Bonetti's Auction Record Increases by 2%

Mattia Bonetti, Unique Bookcase (2011) sold for $155,500 (GBP114,300), more than twice the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on September 17. The Macassar ebony, santos mahogany, walnut and patinated bronze work has not been traded before.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $4,309, a 2% rise.

The previous record was set by Unique "Abyss" Console (2011), which sold for $151,200 at Sotheby's on June 08, 2022. The work had not been traded before.
