Master of the Hartford Still Life, A still life with a blue-and-white vase of flowers, a gilt tazza with peaches, plums and fraises du bois, with a pear, figs, cherries, peaches and other fruit on a ledge, sold for $76,200, less than the low estimate at Christie's in New York on February 4.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $283,800, realizing a 78% negative return. It last sold at auction in 1997 for $360,000 at Sotheby's.

Oil on canvas, 63.2 x 76.5cm. The work has not been traded before.
