Marwan Kassab Bachi, Head (1973) sold for $491,200 (GBP378,000), more than twice the low estimate at Christie's in London on October 31. The oil on canvas work has been traded 3 times in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $12,700, a 2% rise.
