Mark Tansey, The Seven Deadly Sins (1982) sold for $177,800, more than twice the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on May 16.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $98,400, equivalent to an annualized return of 14%. It last sold at auction in 2019 for $79,400 at Christie's.
