Mark Rothko Work with $70m Estimate Returns to Auction

Mark Rothko, Brown and black in reds, is due to be sold at Sotheby's in New York on May 14, 2026 with a $70m to $100m estimate.
It last sold at auction in 2003 for $6m at Christie's. The current low estimate is 1066% higher than its previous low estimate of $6m.
