Marcel Duchamp, Monte Carlo Bond (No. 30) (1924), sold for $1.14m, more than the low estimate at Christie's in New York on May 18.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $1.26m, realizing a 52% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2015 for $2.4m at Christie's.

Imitated rectified readymade: ink, gelatin silver print collage and tax stamp on printed paper, 31.1 x 19.4cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
