Marc Sijan's Auction Record Jumps 30%

Marc Sijan, Standing Security Guard (2013) sold for $53,300, more than seven and a half times the low estimate at Phillips on March 11. The oil on polyester resin work has not been traded before.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $12,400, a 30% rise.
