Marc Chagall Work Sells for $1.86m to Deliver a 0.8% Annualized Return

Marc Chagall, Le coq-peintre à Paris (1982), sold for $1.86m (GBP1.39m), more than the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 5.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $273,500, equivalent to an annualized return of 0.8%. It last sold at auction in 2006 for $1.58m at Galerie Kornfeld.
