Marc Chagall Work Sells for $1.2m But Delivers a 13% Negative Return

Marc Chagall, Fin de journée ou Le cheval rouge (1945) sold for $1.2m, more than the low estimate at Christie's in New York on November 20.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $188,000, realizing a 13% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2007 for $1.39m at Christie's.
