Marc Chagall Work Sells for $140,800 to Deliver a 4% Annualized Return

Marc Chagall, Amoureux aux profils vert et rose (1973), sold for $140,800, more than twice the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on February 26.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $11,700, equivalent to an annualized return of 4%. It last sold at auction in 2024 for $129,100 at Christie's.

Pen and ink, ink wash, pastel and pencil on paper, 33.7 x 26.7cm. The work has been traded 3 times in the past.
