Man Ray Work Sells for $68,300 But Delivers a 51% Negative Return

Man Ray, L'Homme nouveau (1964), sold for $68,300 (GBP51,200), more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on March 5.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $73,800, realizing a 51% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2008 for $142,100 at Sotheby's.

Wooden mannequin, wooden egg and painted wooden box with a lid, 41.9 x 21.3 x 20.7cm. The work has been traded 6 times in the past.
