A major exhibition dedicated to the Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher is scheduled to open at the Embankment Galleries of Somerset House in London. Titled 'M.C. Escher. The Exhibition', the presentation will run from 5 June to 6 September 2026.

The exhibition is set to feature over 150 works, including a comprehensive selection of the artist's prints and drawings. These pieces collectively showcase Escher's distinctive methodology, which seamlessly integrates art and mathematics to create visually complex compositions.

Visitors will encounter Escher's signature exploration of visual paradoxes, the construction of impossible worlds, and the application of intricate geometry. The display will highlight his mastery of optical illusions, tessellations, and metamorphoses, underscoring his unique contribution to 20th-century graphic art. The exhibition is presented with the support of the M.C. Escher Foundation.
