Mahadev Viswanath Dhurandhar, Untitled (1940) sold for $444,500, more than four times the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on March 17. The Oil on canvas work has been traded once in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $357,000, a 400% rise.
