Lyonel Feininger, Trompetenbläser I (Trumpeters I) (1912) sold for $5.08m, more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on May 13.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $1.08m, realizing a 17% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2018 for $6.16m at Christie's.
