Lygia Pape, O olho do guará n° 13 (1984) sold for $81,900, less than the low estimate at Christie's in New York on May 15.
The sale was below the previous auction result by $184,600, realizing a 69% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2012 for $266,500 at Phillips de Pury.
Synthetic fur, gesso and neon light fixture mounted on panel, 59.7 x 59.7cm. The work has been traded twice in the past.
