Lucian Freud Work Sells for $2.22m to Deliver a 8% Annualized Return

Lucian Freud, Flyda and Arvid (1947) sold for $2.22m (GBP1.75m), more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on March 4.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $1.14m, equivalent to an annualized return of 8%. It last sold at auction in 2015 for $1.08m at Sotheby's.
