Leonora Carrington Work Sells for $11.38m to Deliver a 13% Annualized Return

Leonora Carrington, La Grande Dame (The Cat Woman) (1951) sold for $11.38m, more than twice the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on November 18.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $11.11m, equivalent to an annualized return of 13%. It last sold at auction in 1994 for $270,000 at Sotheby's.
