Rana Begum Joins Lehmann Maupin

Lehmann Maupin has announced its representation of the London-based artist Rana Begum. The gallery will show Begum's work on its booth at Art Basel in Basel and present her first solo show in New York in September.

She will remain with her London gallery, Kate MacGarry.

The British-Bangladeshi artist is best known for her colorful geometric abstract sculptural and relief works that indirectly refer to elements of Islamic art.

In 2024, she unveiled a site-specific installation at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and created a standout work for the 2023 edition of Desert X in Southern California.
