Lalan Work Sells for $997,400 to Deliver a 30% Annualized Return

Lalan, Moon (1974), sold for $997,400 (HKD7.81m), more than 20 times the low estimate at Sotheby's Hong Kong in Hong Kong on March 30.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $989,400, equivalent to an annualized return of 30%. It last sold at auction in 2008 for $8,024 at Sotheby's.
