L.S. Lowry Work Sells for $523,000 to Deliver a 7% Annualized Return

L.S. Lowry, Old Church and Steps (1960) sold for $523,000 (GBP403,200), more than the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 19.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $494,300, equivalent to an annualized return of 7%. It last sold at auction in 1986 for $28,700 at Christie's.
