L.S. Lowry, A Footbridge (1938) sold for $680,800 (GBP508,000), more than the low estimate at Christie's in London on October 22.
The sale was below the previous auction result by $95,100, realizing a 12% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2007 for $776,000 at Christie's.
