Joseph Yaeger, The Euphemism (2021) sold for $320,000, more than four times the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on May 14. The watercolor on gessoed canvas work has been traded twice in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $54,300, a 20% rise.
