Joseph Chinard Work Sells for $392,300 to Deliver a 5% Annualized Return

Joseph Chinard, Bust of a Young Girl sold for $392,300 (GBP285,700), more than five and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on July 2.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $311,700, equivalent to an annualized return of 5%. It last sold at auction in 1995 for $80,600 at Audap-Solanet Godeau-Veillet.
